Episode 108 Review

This episode starts the Odyssey of Order sub-season, of the name being taken from this episode’s title. What do I mean by sub-season? I’m referring to a confined story arc, similar to a season, but smaller. This one is meant to parallel the KC Grand Championships arc of the original series. I’ll be completely honest, I’m not a giant fan of structuring the season like this. I have big plans for the final season, and it seems like a shame to start with an unrelated plot, but this is one of those times were I have to remind myself that part of my point in writing this is to parallel the original series. My original plan for this sub-season included Yuni fighting four elite duelists, all specializing in a special type of deck (a relic of which is Utu’s milling deck). For you Pokémon fans out there, think of it as some kind of Duel Monsters version of the Elite Four. An interesting result of the duel was learning that Yuni only keeps 40 cards in his deck. To anyone who has looked at the Card Database, it is obvious that Yuni has used many more cards than this. This infers that Yuni is constantly changing his deck. In fact, it is possible that Yuni never duels with the same deck twice.

Until next time, duel on!

Episode 99: In the Cards Part 3

The 99th episode is out now. Make sure to read it here.

In the epic conclusion of the Society of Light arc, Yuni must defeat Sartorius’ ultimate Arcana Force monster and find the power to rewrite his own destiny. Is the future predetermined? Is fate pre-written?

Also, next Friday is the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, so just as I did last year for X and Y, I will be taking a several week break from writing in order to play these games to their full extant. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Until next time, duel on!

Episode 83 Review

My Pokemon break is over, back to Yu-Gi-Oh.

A quick piece of trivia I forgot to give before, the three Weapons of Yugoha are called the Chronoton Staff, Graviton Cannon, and Higgs Boson Shield. Two of those three names come from theoretical, subatomic particles in Quantum Physics. A chronoton is theoretical particle that deals with time, while a graviton transfers the force of gravity. The Higgs Boson is a special particle that was theorized to give mass to matter. It was discovered just over a year ago. So in a way, we have particles dealing with time, space, and reality.

A Call to Arms, first off, is the first episode to feature Ma’at in a prominent role, but not have Order in the episode’s title. For all intents and purposes, this episode ends the Yuni vs. Ma’at story line that we’ve been following. From this point on, those two are allies, at least until I decide otherwise of course. The most shocking (or maybe not, if you’re a Yu-Gi-Oh expert, and picked up all of my hints) reveal of the episode was the end, where we learn that the mysterious hooded man of light is in fact Sartorius, leader of the Society of Light. For those who don’t remember or know, the Society of Light was an organization from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, which was created so that the evil Light of Destruction could take over the Earth (destroy it in the Japanese version). What does this mean for Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium? You’ll just have to keep on reading.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! In case you don’t already know, the picture above is of one the newest archetypes, the Ghostricks! Maybe you can celebrate this Halloween by reading the Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium episode Bump in the Night, and about its spooky Night Terror monsters. I’d also like to use this post as chance to announce that I have finished playing Pokemon Y (For those of you who care I just got my entire team up to level 100), and I will be returning to writing Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium. Expect the next episode to come out around next Sunday. Hope you all have a spooky Halloween!

Until next time, ghoul on! (Sorry, I just had to.)

Taking a Break

This Saturday is the release of the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y games, and I regret to say that I will be taking a 2-3 week break from writing in order to focus on becoming the Kalos Champion. I will be back to writing as soon as I conquer the game. In the mean time, I might take a break from all that training to come and make a post here. I’ll post some exclusive content, that won’t be posted anywhere else, so stay tuned. See you all soon!

Until next time, duel on!
