Episode 58 and 59 Review

***Spoiler Alert***

And so the Chaos Realm Saga comes to an end…

To start this review off, I would like to point out the fact that every single monster used by Yuni in this duel was either a Light or a Dark attribute, since it was his first duel as a Lord of Chaos. These episodes were some of those episodes that I had planned from the very beginning. I knew all along that this duel was going to end with a new incarnation of Cyber-Tech Magician and the introduction of the Chaos Relics. When Yuni managed to draw the Chaos Relics, he was proving that he is one of the greatest, if not the greatest Lord of Chaos to ever exist, since he now has the ability to call upon cards that none before him ever had. Probably the most interesting part of two episodes was the way they ended, with the revelation that Otto is actually some sort of Spirit of Darkness name Ottiuk. What repercussion could this hold for the series? You’ll just have to wait and find out.

Episode 57 Review

***Spoiler Alert***

The idea for this episode actually came last minute. Up until a week before I wrote it, I was planning on having a similar sequence of events, just less detailed, in the same episode as part one of the Yuni vs. Konton duel. However, I then came up with the idea for the Chaos Sorcerer sub-plot. I quickly realized, that if I wanted to fully develop Chaos Sorcerer’s character, than I would have devote an entire episode to him. I’ll admit, the evolution of Chaos Sorcerer into Lightray Sorcerer was a little forced, but I think it worked. Speaking of Lightrays, the four archetypes that Yuni faced in Konton’s army, Dark Worlds, Lightsworns, Lightrays, and the Dark Counterparts, were the four archetypes that I felt would best fit in a Chaos themed deck, due to their ability to send Light and Dark monsters to the grave, and also banish them.

Episodes 55 and 56 Review

***Spoiler Alert***

Just as any good hero must at some point or other, Yuni had to go through three trials in these episodes. The first trial was meant to see how well Yuni could control his darker, more destructive side, while also testing his ability to think fast. The second trial put Yuni against his inner rage, which at the time was his hatred for Konton, to see how he would cope with it. The third trial tested his ability to duel, a fundamental skill for a Lord of Chaos. During the second trial, Apep (in a way) made a surprise appearance. Yuni stated that he was only a hallucination, and then Apep responded that it was up to Yuni to decide whether or not he was real. Just as it was left up to Yuni, I leave the choice to all of you readers. Do you think that Apep was real?
